Where It Fits in a Turnaround

Crude and product storage tanks

Bottoms, wall film, paraffin. Hot circulation at 1:10 to 1:20.

Slop, skim, and sour service

Handles sour crude residue including iron sulfide deposits. Standard pyrophoric precautions still apply.

Pressure vessels and bullets

NGL and LPG storage. Spray or circulation with vapor suppression as the primary job.

What Hasten Cleanse does not do

It is not a solvent and not a caustic. It will not dissolve, melt, or strip material that is physically bonded or baked onto a surface: scale, rust, hardened deposits, coatings. It lifts hydrocarbons, oil, grease, crude, sludge, and paraffin, by emulsifying them, and it needs agitation, circulation, pressure, or heat to do that work. If your problem is a stuck-on solid rather than a hydrocarbon film or residue, tell us and we will say so.

Does it replace a vapor-control contractor?

It reduces the vapor load and shortens the time to entry. Your vapor-control and hot-work procedures still govern. Many contractors use both.

Is it safe for confined space entry work?

It does not add flammable vapor or displace oxygen. Standard atmospheric testing and permitting still apply.

Will it dissolve coke or hardened deposits?

No. It lifts hydrocarbon residue. It is not a solvent or a caustic and it does not strip bonded solids.

What about H2S?

Customers report H2S readings dropping along with LEL and VOC during the wash. Bring your own meter to the demo.

What is the dilution?

1:10 for heavy residue, 1:20 typical, 1:50 for light film. Hot water, 140 to 160 degrees, is best on crude.
